I started this painting for a family friend of ours as a special Christmas present. To my surprise, it turned out to be one of my personal favorites! There's something about the glow of a church on a cold winter night that gives me such a feeling of warmth and peace. In this scene, the minister of the small church has arrived early to light the candles, unlock the doors, and pray before all the people begin to arrive and join together to worship and honor their Creator. Come and join in and feel that special “Peace on Earth”.
