April 18, 2008 ~ Infinity Fine Art announces addition of Master Highlighter.  "We are pleased to announce that Steven Bielstein has agreed to become involved in the production process of our fine art Giclee reproductions", stated Jim Odom, managing partner. "In order to offer the highest possible quality, and in order to produce a reproduction that is as close to the original as possible, we have decided to begin adding embellishment to our Giclees.  To make sure that the final product is professionally finished, it was necessary to find an artist who could match very closely the colors and brush strokes of the original oil painting.  These brush strokes added to the canvas Giclee produces a reproduction that rivals the quality of the original.  Steven is a talented artist in his own right.  We were very fortunate to find someone with Steven's credentials to add to the quality of our reproductions."

Steven T. Bielstein was born in Victoria, Texas in 1962. Since his early childhood, he began to develop a keen interest in art. From his earliest recollections, he has always felt a desire to create beautiful drawings and paintings. Elementary school art teachers were instrumental in setting the direction for his passion and love for art, and with his parent's support, he began to learn more advanced drawing skills under the tutelage of the late Simon Michael.  There were many influences early on in Steve's life, but the one who stands out most notably is Dalhart Windberg who has also lived and painted in Victoria. Although he never met Windberg until later in his life, Steve was amazed by the skill and detail of Dalhart's work. It was his renaissance look and the perfection of handling the paint that greatly influences Steve to this day. Although influenced by Windberg's smooth canvas technique, Steve uses different approaches and techniques according to the subject he paints, sometimes creating a soft look in a still life or a plein air feel in a landscape. His philosophy is that the subject should dictate the style.
Steve loves to create beautiful images of light, color, and contrast, for art lovers to enjoy. Artist Vincent Van Gough once said, "It is not the language of painters but the language of nature which one should listen to, the feeling for the things themselves, for reality, is more important than the feeling for pictures." As an artist, Steve strives to not just paint something which is pleasing to the eye, but also something that stirs all the senses and elevates the emotions. Explore the path of a meandering spring through the Texas hill country and wonder what is around the next bend. Imagine the fresh evergreen fragrance in the crisp air of a mountainside. Hear the sound of the surf and the squawk of the seagulls of a quaint seaside town. Smell the sweetness of a flower in bloom or feel your mouth water as you think about the tangy taste of an orange in a still life. These images of the senses may stir up old memories or create new fantasies of a more beautiful world.
Steve has studied oil painting under Henry Wallace, and nationally renowned artists Mark Keathley and Dalhart Windberg. He has gained national recognition for drawing and has won regional and local awards with his art. He is an Associate Member of the Oil Painters of America. His goal is to be able to inspire others with the same kind of passion and pleasure for art as he was early on. Steve still lives with his wife and family in Victoria.
