This Fall, as I
was traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway, I
encountered this picturesque old mill.
It was built in 1903 and I enjoyed
thinking about how the settlers over 100
years ago had to work so hard just to
get simple pleasures like hot cornbread
with their meals. With the
Holidays approaching, the long days of
working at Mabry's Mill have come to an
end and the business of celebration has
arrived. May you, too, find rest from
your work, time to rejoice, and
abundance of love for those gathered
around you this holiday season.
