The evening sun is casting its last rays of warmth on this cozy stone chapel. The Horse is awaiting the return of its owner where it can hurry back to the barn at home.
"Why do people endure this cold to come to this chapel?" One might ask;
"What is the draw?" Even though the days of horse and buggy are gone, the desire of humanity is still the same; Connection
- Community - Worship - Truth - Warmth - Fullness. These are all deep longings and needs in the human experience. In
Carriage Chapel, I am drawing the viewer into a scene where we can imagine every one of these
"needs" are being met. While it is not difficult to destroy the potential of a gathering with bickering or jealousy, and a number of other petty issues, programmed deep in us all is a compass of truth pointing the way to love. We all know how we want to be loved. We all know how we would love to be greeted. Be reminded of the Truth of Love as you enjoy
Carriage Chapel.
